Realtà autobiografica e finzione narrativa si mescolano, dando vita a splendide istantanee a volte dal sapore più malinconico e doloroso, a volte più disteso e solare, dove balugina il sentore di felicità. La scrittura con il suo potere curativo, le riflessioni su di essa e la memoria sono i temi attorno cui ruota la narrazione. La voce della protagonista che si rivolge all’amica è arricchita dalle storie degli animali e dei luoghi lì presenti, parte pulsante anch’essi della narrazione.
Written in form of letters to a dear friend, Alda Teodorani’s new and intense book tells about the main character’s journey towards happiness. The house where the woman moves – the ranch with its gorgeous surrounding nature – is a real space and a place of inner exploration at the same time. Autobiographical reality and narrative fiction combine themselves creating beautiful pictures which sometimes have a melancholy and painful taste, sometimes a more relaxed and cheerful one, where the scent of happiness flashes. The healing power of writing, the considerations about it and the memory are the themes around which the narration revolves. The protagonist’s voice addressing to her friend is enriched by the stories of the animals and of the places out there, beating part of the book too.
